About

The James A. Garfield Alliance, created in 2017, works hand-in-hand with the Nation Park Service staff to fulfill its mission by welcoming the public and preserving the history and legacy of President James A. Garfield for current and future generations.

1. To advocate publicly for community interest, awareness and support of the James A. Garfield National Historic Site
2. To advance educational opportunities about James A. Garfield among regional school districts and the general public
3. To impact economic development in the area through events, travel and tourism
4. To raise philanthropic funds to support the programs, marketing and other needs of the site.

James A. Garfield Alliance works closely with the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park, an established nonprofit organization that serves as a friends group to the Cleveland/Akron-area-based national park.
